JAVA J2EE SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

Avancer Corporation is seeking a Java/J2EE developer who can independently develop, implement,
and maintain complex technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Works from technical specifications to independently develop, modify, configure, and maintain complex software products
• 
  Formulate and manage system scope and objectives for assigned projects
• 
  Reviews business requirement documents and translates into technical specifications
• 
  Analyzes and troubleshoots problems and makes recommendations
• 
  Provides status updates to Project Manager and senior management
• 
  Assists in design/code reviews, architecture discussions and infrastructure reviews
• 
  Manage interactions with client’s team
• 
  Directly interact with internal project team and manages customer expectations

Knowledge

• 
  Requires expert knowledge of software development life cycle methodology
• 
  Requires advanced knowledge of Java
• 
  Requires knowledge of relational database management systems
• 
  Demonstrates understanding of core business functions
• 
  Demonstrates ability to apply structure to a loosely defined problem

•

  Demonstrated proficiency in application programming; experience developing JSF 2.0 web applications

  Recent experience developing JAVA applications
• 
  Recent experience with developing web services (SOAP/REST), XML integration, XML–SOAP, and/or Web Services/SOA Solutions
• 
  Recent experience in database architecture and development of SQL scripts/queries (SQL server/DB2)
• 
  Must be proficient with SQL

Education/Experience

• 
  Requires Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline (computer science or engineering)
• 
  4+ years of relevant work experience

Additional licensing, certifications, registrations

• 
  Professional certification in area of expertise a plus
